Our recap of the Wood Industry Day in Cologne 2023

"You have the stuff the future is made of!"

In his inspiring speech , Prof. Hans Joachim Schellnhuber, one of the world's most renowned climate researchers, highlighted the wood industry as a key player for a sustainable and pioneering future.

He emphasized not only the ecological benefits of wood and its crucial role in the fight against the climate crisis, but also the economic opportunities and predicted a promising future for the industry.

The lecture also inspired our customer Karl Schmiederer jun., managing partner of Scheiffele-Schmiederer KG: "Prof. Schellnhuber's lecture also confirmed from a scientific point of view that wood will play a much more important role as a building material in the future. This further strengthens the path our company has taken."

The new digital proof of delivery generated the greatest interest among trade fair visitors

At our stand, many wood dealers enquired about the new digital proof of delivery from Tourbosoft and how the automatically generated digital document with the delivery information is stored by the driver in their document management system.

The automatic sending of the proof of delivery with photo and signature to customers and the simplification of the invoicing process met with curious ears. Many wood retailers would also like to digitalize the paper delivery bill and streamline their processes.

That's it.

Thank you for two exciting days at the trade fair with valuable discussions and interesting impressions. We packed our boxes again and took new ideas for digitalization in wood trade logistics with us to Berlin.

Tourbosoft Managing Director Martin Reinhardt resumes:

"Digitalization in the wood trade is gathering speed and we are proud to put the industry on the road to success with our logistics software."
